Product Introduction

Premium 840D Waterproof PVC Laminated Tarpaulin

Intro Paragraph:
This is our premium grade 840D PVC tarpaulin. It's made with high-strength, low-shrink polyester yarn and a heavy-duty PVC coating on both sides. We designed this one for customers who need something really tough – like for truck covers, large tents, or even industrial storage bags. The 840D fabric gives it a much higher tear strength compared to standard tarps, so it lasts longer in rough conditions.

5 Key Features:

Heavy-Duty 840D Construction – We use high-tenacity 840D polyester yarn, which is significantly stronger than standard 500D or 420D materials. This means your tarpaulin holds up better against tears, abrasion, and heavy wind load. If you've had issues with cheap tarps ripping at the grommets or seams, this is a big step up.

Double-Sided PVC Coating – Both sides are coated, not just one. This gives you better waterproofing and makes the fabric more resistant to oil, grease, and chemicals. Plus, it's easy to clean – wipe it down or hose it off and it looks decent again.

Multiple Weight Options (570gsm to 650gsm) – Not every job needs the same thickness. We've got JLI0006 for lighter applications, and JLI0007/JLI0008 for heavier duty stuff. You're not forced into a one-size-fits-all solution – pick what actually works for your project.

Wide Temperature Tolerance (-30°C to 70°C) – This fabric stays flexible in freezing conditions and won't get sticky or deformed in high heat. So whether you're using it in a Canadian winter or a Middle Eastern summer, it does the job without cracking or melting.

Full Certification Support – We can supply materials with M1, M2, B1, B2, NFPA701, 6P, 12P, SONCAP, SABER, and REACH certifications. Not all our stock comes pre-certified for everything, so check with us first – but we've done the homework, so we can usually get you what you need for your local compliance requirements.

Specifications
We offer a few different options here. The main differences are in the yarn thickness and density, so you can pick the one that fits your specific use case:

JLI0006 (570gsm) : Uses 500*500D yarn with an 18*22 thread count. It's on the lighter side, good for things like tent tops or light-duty covers. Warp/weft tensile strength is around 1600/1450 N/5cm.

JLI0007 (650gsm) : Steps up to 1000*1000D yarn with 18*18 density. This one is noticeably more rugged. Tensile strength goes up to about 2500/2300 N, and the tear strength is more than double that of JLI0006. If your application involves a lot of pulling, folding, or rough handling, this is where you want to start.

JLI0008 (650gsm) : Also 1000D yarn, but we tightened the density to 20*20. Same weight as JLI0007, but with better stability and strength – tensile goes up to 2700/2500 N. This is our go-to recommendation for projects that need that extra margin of safety.

Common Features:

Adhesion strength is consistent at 120 N/5cm across all models. What that means in plain English is the PVC coating sticks to the fabric really well – no bubbling or delamination after repeated use.

Temperature range is -30°C to 70°C. Handles most outdoor conditions without issue.

We've got a bunch of certifications available – M1, M2, B1, B2, NFPA701, 6P, 12P, SONCAP, SABER, REACH. That said, certification availability can vary by batch, so double-check with our sales team when you place an order.

FAQ Section:

Q: How big is the difference between 840D and 500D in real use?
A: Honestly, the main thing you'll notice is tear resistance. If you've been using 500D tarps and they keep getting torn up in windy areas or from sharp edges, switching to 840D makes a noticeable difference. Most of our customers use this grade for heavy truck covers or large outdoor billboards.

Q: How long does the waterproof coating last?
A: The standard treatment holds up fine for regular use. But if you're putting it in direct sunlight all day or in harsh chemical environments, we'd suggest adding UV-resistant or special surface coating – just let our sales guy know and they'll walk you through the options.

Q: Can you customize width and color?
A: Yeah, we do that all the time. Standard width is usually between 1.5m to 3.2m. For colors, most Pantone shades are doable, but there's a minimum order quantity. Best to check with us on that.

Look, there's a lot of tarpaulin options out there and I know it can get confusing with all the different specs and grades. If you've been around this industry for a while, you probably already know whether you need 500D or 840D – but if you're not sure, feel free to reach out. We've been making this stuff for years and we've seen what works and what doesn't in different applications. Tell us what you're using it for, and we'll point you in the right direction. No hard sell, just straight talk.
