Product Introduction

PVC Laminated Tarpaulin for Outdoor Tent

Intro Paragraph:
This PVC fabric is specifically developed for outdoor tent applications. It's a bit different from the heavy industrial tarps – sure, it needs to be strong, but more importantly, it needs to be lightweight, easy to fold, and UV-resistant. We used 1000*1000D yarn but bumped the density up to 23*23. This gives you good strength while keeping the fabric relatively soft and easy to pack down. Works great for camping tents, emergency shelters, or rooftop tents that get set up and taken down frequently.

Specifications:
We're pushing two main models for this series – think of them as "standard" and "heavy-duty" options:

JLI0009 (750gsm) : Tensile strength hits 3000/2700 N/5cm, tear strength at 420/370 N. This one's more than enough for family camping tents, outdoor exhibition canopies, that kind of thing. Solid performer without being overkill.

JLI0010 (850gsm) : This is 100 grams heavier than JLI0009, which means a thicker PVC layer. So it's more abrasion-resistant, and the waterproofing and air-tightness are a step up. We usually recommend this one for sandy or dusty environments, or if you're making inflatable tent bladders where air retention is critical.

A Couple of Extra Notes:
Both models use low-shrink polyester base fabric. What does that mean in practice? Basically, when it gets wet or when temperatures swing from day to night, the fabric doesn't expand or contract much. So your tent stays tight and doesn't get that saggy, wrinkled look. Adhesion strength is also 120 N/5cm here – coating stays put.

5 Key Features:

Lightweight & Packable – This isn't your average heavy tarp. The 1000D yarn with 23*23 density gives you a nice balance – strong enough to hold up, but soft and flexible enough to fold down small. If you're making gear that needs to be portable, this matters more than you'd think.

UV Resistant Formulation – We added UV stabilizers into the PVC compound, so the fabric doesn't degrade quickly under sunlight. Standard version handles regular outdoor exposure fine, and we can bump up the UV protection even more if you're dealing with high-altitude or tropical conditions.

Low Shrinkage Polyester Base – The base fabric is made from low-shrink polyester fiber. This is a detail that gets overlooked, but it's actually important – when your tent gets rained on or goes through temperature changes, the fabric won't tighten up or loosen off. The dimensions stay consistent, so your tent structure stays tight and doesn't sag.

Strong Coating Adhesion (120 N/5cm) – We've all seen cheap tarps where the coating starts peeling off after a few uses. That doesn't happen here. The PVC layer is bonded at 120 N/5cm adhesion strength, so it stays put even with repeated folding, rolling, or rubbing against frame poles.

Great Air Retention for Inflatable Structures – This is a big one if you're doing inflatable tents or air beams. The dense PVC coating creates a nearly airtight seal, so you don't lose pressure quickly. We've had customers tell us they get noticeably longer inflation intervals compared to the generic fabrics they used before.

FAQ Section:

Q: Does this fabric block UV?
A: The standard version has some basic UV resistance, but if you're using it at high altitudes or in really sunny regions, we'd suggest adding our UV-treatment option. Just mention it when you order.

Q: What makes this better than regular tent fabric?
A: Regular tent fabric is usually nylon with a PU coating, and that coating tends to break down over time – then it starts leaking. Our PVC layer is heat-bonded to the fabric, basically fused together. So it lasts way longer, and you can just hose it down when it gets dirty.

Q: I'm making an inflatable tent – how's the air-tightness?
A: That's exactly why we use high-density yarn and thick PVC coating. The denser the coating, the better the air retention. Our customers have told us JLI0010 holds pressure really well for inflatable beams and air columns.

Honestly, the best way to figure out if JLI0009 or JLI0010 is right for you is to think about how the tent is actually going to be used. Is it for weekend family camping where weight matters and you're packing it in a car? JLI0009 is probably your sweet spot. Is it for commercial rentals, disaster relief, or inflatable structures that get set up and torn down constantly? Go with JLI0010 – the extra 100 grams is worth it for the durability. Either way, we've got both in stock and ready to go.
